Hospital Staff

Managers

MaryBeth Soto, CVPM

Practice manager MaryBeth Soto, CVPM, has worked at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 1997 and has been in the veterinary field since 1986. She earned the distinction of CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) in October 2011. MaryBeth says she loves working with the people and pets here at Main Street, which represents the best of both worlds to her. She adds that the people she works with are "awesome" and considers them to be a very talented, professional and knowledgeable group. "I know that when a pet comes into Main Street we offer the best for that pet with a caring heart," she says.

Beyond her work here at Main Street Veterinary Hospital, MaryBeth loves spending time with her family: three grown children, two wonderful grandsons and two beautiful granddaughters. She also enjoys spending time with her pets and scrapbooking her and her family's adventures. Lifelong learning is also important to MaryBeth and she is currently taking courses at a local college.

Angie El Gamrani, LVT

Angie El Gamrani, LVT, is the hospital's Office Manager. A Licensed Veterinary Technician, Angie has worked in the veterinary field since 1980 and earned her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1983. Angie has been with Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 1992. She loves her job because "Pets enrich our lives in so many ways; I love being involved in strengthening the bond between pets and people, and in helping pets live happy, healthy lives."

When not working, Angie enjoys singing and playing music with her guitarist husband; spending time with family; writing poetry and short stories; reading; and making crafts. She is owned by a Flame Point kitty named KiKi Rose. 

Director of Veterinary Dentistry

Shannon Van Trease

Director of Veterinary Dentistry, Shannon VanTrease, joined Main Street Veterinary Hospital's dental team in January 2014. "With Dr. Lobprise joining the team at Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic, I have been given the opportunity to again work in my area of special interest, veterinary dentistry," he says. "The Main Street staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and eager to help our clients and patients." Shannon spends his free time biking, hiking, camping, and canoeing. He also enjoys rebuilding hotrods and other classic cars, is an avid archer, and a member of the Dallas Dart League. Shannon also designs and builds vivariums. He shares his home with a three-legged dog named Nubs. 

Kennel Manager

Kennel Manager, Anna Davis

Anna joined our team in August 2016. She has been working in the animal related field for about 20 years. Anna fosters kittens, and she rescues dogs and cats when she is able. She has 3 dogs: Vinson, Nala, and Zoey, along with 4 cats: Gizmo, Jethro, Bootz, and Toby. She says” I love working at Main Street because of the animals that come in, while also getting to know the clients on a level that warms my heart.” During her free time she loves to read sic-fi novels, spend time with her daughter and husband, and walk on her property with her dogs.

Kennel Manager, Sarah Quinn

Sarah Quinn has been working in the veterinary field since 2001. She works full time as kennel tech and vet tech assistant. Sarah has 2 dogs named Katrina and Butters, along with 5 cats. She loves working at Main Street because the staff works together for the same goals making sure the patients & clients are comfortable, and treating each pet as it were our own. She has been a volunteer for the Animal Rescue Foundation of Texas since 2012. She spends her spare time raising and fostering kittens. Sarah also enjoys watching movies and reading.

Client Service Representatives

Heather McCarthy, CVA

Heather McCarthy, CVA, began working at Main Street Veterinary Hospital in 1994. A Client Service Representative, she is certified through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association as a Level I Certified Veterinary Assistant.

Heather has worked in all departments at the hospital: kennel, technician and now reception. Heather enjoys interacting with clients and patients and appreciates the learning opportunities created by the doctors, who use every experience as a chance to educate and challenge the staff.

In her spare time, Heather likes to swim and play tennis. She also enjoys photography, taking pictures of her pets and spending time with her young niece and nephews. She shares her home with two sister kitties named Georgia and Precious. 

Eva Stafford

Eva Stafford brings 15 years of experience to her position as Client Service Representative at Main Street Veterinary Hospital. She joined our team in October 2013. "Main Street Veterinary Hospital is well-equipped for the high-quality care we provide," she says. "The staff members all have compassionate hearts toward both the patients and the clients. The human-animal bond is truly cherished here and I love being a part of that." In her free time, Eva enjoys watching and attending any sporting event, staying active with her family, and cooking. She has a cat named Coconut, also known as "Tiny Tiger."

Angel Teames

Angel Teames joined our team back in October 2016. She has been working in the animal related field for 2 years now. She has one cat named Dobby along with 4 dogs named Charlie, Rocky, Marley, and Dot. She said her favorite part about working at Main Street is the amount of love and dedication that every doctor and employee puts into each visit with every client and patient. On her time off she enjoys reading, running, singing & writing music, and spending time with her family.

Kelly Lassiter

Kelly Lassiter joined the Main Street family in March 2017. She brings over 8 years of animal related experience to the team. She has a shepherd mix named Skyler who is 12 years old. She said working with animals is her passion. She believes that you should do what you love for a living and nothing makes her happier than working in the vet field. During her time off she loves to spend time with her husband, step daughter, and her dog, Skyler. She has 4 nephews and 2 nieces who keep her busy that she adores. She also loves to travel.

Veterinary Technicians

Jeffrey Pelletier

Veterinary Technician Jeffrey Pelletier has worked at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 2004. His position at Main Street Vet allows him to work with and help the animals he loves. Jeffrey, a mountain biking and running enthusiast, enjoys aquatic gardening, aquascaping and keeping tropical fish. He shares his home with terrier-mix Pogo, and a ball python named Snake-a-tron.

Lauren Carpenter

Lauren Carpenter began working as a Veterinary Technician at Main Street Veterinary Hospital in 2000. After taking some time off to be with her young children, she returned to the team part time in 2012. She has 17 years of animal care experience. "I believe in the great care and compassion the staff and doctors have for all our patients," she says. "Our hospital also has wonderful equipment and great resources to allow us to get an accurate diagnosis as quickly as possible. This means our doctors can get your pet feeling better in no time, and I love that!" When not at work, Lauren enjoys entertaining her sons, spending time outside, and camping and boating with her family. She has three pets: Maggie, a terrier mix, and two cats, MJ and Dino.

Tiera Burke                            

Tiera Burke has worked in the veterinary field for seven years and has been a full-time Veterinary Technician at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since January, 2015. Tiera joined our team after first coming here as a client. She had heard good things about our hospital and team, and says she has found them all to be very true! She enjoys working with our awesome doctors and staff, and loves taking care of our patients. Tiera has two children and shares her home with two 14-year-old cats named Sunny and Mac. Her free time is spent oil painting, singing and spending time with her family and friends.She says she loves to laugh, and she takes a smile with her wherever she goes!

Ayah Istambouli, CVA II 

Veterinary Technician Ayah Istambouli has been part of our team since September of 2014. She is certified through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association as a Level II Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA II) and has been working with animals for the past five years. Ayah says, "I love working at a hospital that practices high-quality medicine and truly cares about patients'well-being. I trust this hospital with my own pets." Ayah has five cats (one of whom is named Rumpelstiltskin.) three dogs, three birds, a reptile and two fish tanks. When she is not caring for our patients or spending time with her own pets, she enjoys "mudding," basketball and watching movies.

Matt Roberts

Veterinary technician Matt Roberts has been with Main Street Veterinary Hospital since June of 2015. He brings six years of veterinary hospital experience to his full-time position. Matt enjoys working at Main Street Vet in part because he says everything is orderly and streamlined. He likes that the Main Street team puts the patients’ needs first, and team members always try to go the extra mile for pet parents. Matt recently adopted a sweet rescued lab mix that he named Xenia. In his off time, Matt likes to cook and enjoys experimenting with exotic recipes. His other interests include reading, judo, target shooting and working out at the gym.

Amber Stout

Amber Stout earned her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology and is in the process of taking her licensure tests to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In addition, she has a Small Animal Nursing certificate. She has four years of veterinary hospital experience and has been a full-time veterinary technician at Main Street Vet since June, 2015. Amber shares her home with two cats: Jake, a six-year-old black cat, and Lola, a four-year-old orange tabby cat. She says she likes her work at Main Street Vet because the team members are very personable and are genuinely concerned about the well-being of their patients. She appreciates the hospital’s passion for educating clients and explaining things thoroughly. When not working, Amber enjoys running, hiking, soccer and reading. She also loves traveling with her family and spending time with her husband.

Jessica Angel

Jessica Angel has worked in the veterinary field for 5 years. She is currently studying to become a certified technician through an AAHA accredited Vet Tech program. She enjoys working here because she is provided with incredible experiences to better hone her abilities as a veterinary technician. She says, “The state-of-the-art technology allows me to practice the best animal nursing possible.” Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking and volunteering. She enjoys running on the trails with her Maltese, Abby! 

Lauren Branski

Lauren Branski has been working in this field for over 13 years. She is CVA1 certified. She began working at Main Street in March 2017. She said what she loves most about working at Main Street is how friendly everyone is and how passionate everyone is about the pets. She loves learning new things in this profession. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.

Amy Martin

Amy Martin began working at Main Street in March 2016. She works at a vet tech and does the social media marketing & bookkeeping as well. She graduated from Baylor with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Mandarin. She has a goldendoodle named Moose and a tabby named Mozart. Her favorite part about working here is the continued learning environment. Amy spends her free time running, traveling, taking pictures, and spending time with her husband and family.

Kennel Care Attendants

Rebekah Curtis

Rebekah Curtis has been working part-time as a Kennel Attendant at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since May of 2014. She enjoys her work here because she loves taking care of animals. When she is not busy caring for our patients and boarding guests, Rebekah spends time with her dogs: Tank, a Blue Heeler; Rex, a Labrador; and Ranger, a mixed breed. Rebekah also has two horses, Gunner and Rango, and enjoys going to rodeos.

Terry Gonzales

Terry Gonzales has been working in the veterinary field for over 30 years. She has a lab mix named Socks. She loves to train him and teach him new tricks. She enjoys working at Main Street because she loves to care for all the furbabies. During her days off she loves fishing, baking, cooking, and most of all spending time with her godson and family.

Grooming

Maria Petrak

Groomer Maria Petrak has more than thirty years of experience. She joined Main Street Veterinary Hospital in 2001 and says that her job "completes the picture" after pets receive great care in the hospital. Maria owns a small ranch and spends much of her time outside of work taking care of her animals. Her menagerie includes six horses and a large flock of Marans chickens. In whatever spare time she has, she raises Pembroke Welsh Corgis and shows them in American Kennel Club conformation events. She also raises miniature donkeys and rides reining horses in competitions.

Ashley Furman

Kennel Attendant Ashley Furman joined the Main Street team full-time in October, 2014. Ashley likes working here because she enjoys learning and wants to train to be a veterinary technician. Ashley's pets include Shiner, a boxer dog; a red-eared slider turtle named Koopa; and B.T. the box turtle. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, hiking in the dog park, and repurposing or redesigning objects found in the house.

Seasonal Employees

Hailey Orton 

Hailey Orton has been a seasonal employee since May 2014. She is currently studying pre-veterinary medicine at Tarleton, and she is a member of the pre-vet club. “I love the people I work with, and I love all the experience I am getting to do while working with these amazing doctors. They’re extremely helpful and allow me great training opportunities. “ She has 2 dogs, Bella, King Charles Spaniel, and Lucy, a golden retriever. She also has 2 cats named Martin and Nala. When she isn’t busy studying or caring for patients, she likes to swim, watch Netflix, read, and better her cooking skills. 

Bradi McElroy

Bradi McElroy started as a seasonal employee in May 2016. She loves working here because of the hands-on experience with animals and the friendly environment. “Everyone is always helpful and ready to answer questions.” She has a black lab mix named Rilie. In her free time she loves to take her dog swimming. She also enjoys baking, cooking, and going to movies with friends.
