MaryBeth SotoMaryBeth Soto, CVPM

Practice manager MaryBeth Soto, CVPM, has worked at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 1997 and has been in the veterinary field since 1986. She earned the distinction of CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) in October 2011. MaryBeth says she loves working with the people and pets here at Main Street, which represents the best of both worlds to her. She adds that the people she works with are "awesome" and considers them to be a very talented, professional and knowledgeable group. "I know that when a pet comes into Main Street we offer the best for that pet with a caring heart," she says.

Beyond her work here at Main Street Veterinary Hospital, MaryBeth loves spending time with her family: three grown children and two wonderful grandsons. She also enjoys spending time with her pets, which includes a parrot named Sam, and scrapbooking her and her family's adventures. Lifelong learning is also important to MaryBeth and she is currently taking courses at a local college.

Angie El Gamrani, RVT, VDTAngie El Gamrani, RVT, VDT

Angie El Gamrani, RVT, VDT, is the hospital's office manager. Registered as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Texas, Angie has worked with animals since 1980. She also earned her Veterinary Dental Technician certificate through the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians and has worked at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 1992. Angie loves going home at night feeling that she has done something to touch the life of a pet or a person and is grateful that Main Street's clients care so much about their pets.

Angie is a member of the ASPCA and the Humane Society. Her animal companions include Mysti, a three-legged Pomeranian; Kricket, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi; and Salah and Zuina, Betta fish. She enjoys singing and playing music with her guitarist husband as well as spending time with family, writing poetry and short stories, reading and making crafts.

Mischa AponteMischa Aponte

Mischa Aponte, a Veterinary Technician at Main Street Veterinary Hospital, has been rescuing animals since she was born. She started getting paid for her work with pets in 1992 and has worked here since 2005. She loves working at Main Street because it's filled with people who are willing to stay late or arrive early in order to help clients with their pets.

Mischa has a Bachelor's degree in Music performance from the University of North Texas. When she is not helping pets at Main Street Veterinary Hospital, she can often be found writing and performing music, mostly jazz, latin jazz/salsa and Afro-Caribbean or Afro-Brazilian. Mischa is a die-hard baseball fan and enjoys traveling to Puerto Rico to visit friends and family. She has several cats and also has two dogs, a black lab named Hunter Blabbington and a hound mix named Macy.

Emily ChasteenEmily Chasteen

Emily Chasteen is a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator who has been volunteering her time for the cause since 2001. She began working at Main Street Veterinary Hospital in 2007 as a Veterinary Technician. Emily says that getting to know the patients and watching them grow is very rewarding. She's proud to be on a team that offers the best medical care to pets and their owners.

Emily's furry friends are Ellie, a Labrador Retriever / Shar Pei mix, and Bunny, a young Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Japanese Chin mix. When she is not working, she enjoys camping, fishing and gardening.

Karla Bowsher, CVAKarla Bowsher, CVA

Kennel Manager and Veterinary Technician Karla Bowsher, CVA, has worked at the hospital for more than 15 years. A certified Level II Veterinary Assistant through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Karla likes working at the hospital because the staff takes excellent care of the animals.

Karla spends a lot of her free time with her husband and with Beenie, her Jack Russell Terrier. She likes to remodel her house and says she has painted every room in her home at least five times. Other pastimes include sketching, working crossword puzzles, enjoying the outdoors and gardening.

Heather McCarthy, CVAHeather McCarthy, CVA

Heather McCarthy, CVA, began working at Main Street Veterinary Hospital in 1994. A Client Service Representative at the hospital, she is certified through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association as a Level I Certified Veterinary Assistant. Heather enjoys interacting with clients and patients and appreciates the learning opportunities created by the doctors, who use every experience as a chance to educate and challenge the staff.

In her spare time, Heather likes to swim and play tennis. She also enjoys photography, taking pictures of her pets and spending time with her young niece and nephew. She shares her home with cats Muffin and Macaroni and her Golden Retriever Ginger.

Mary SmithMary Smith

Client Service Representative Mary "Candy" Smith has been working with animals for more than 20 years. An employee at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 2006, Candy says that Main Street's great doctors, clean facility, state-of-the-art equipment and excellent grooming and boarding facilities make it a great place to work.

Candy is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the National Barrel Horse Association. She has four cats, two dogs and a horse and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren Jadon and Gracie.

Maria PetrakMaria Petrak

Groomer Maria Petrak has more than thirty years of experience. She joined Main Street Veterinary Hospital in 2001 and says that her job "completes the picture" after pets receive great care in the hospital.

Maria owns a small ranch and spends much of her time outside of work taking care care of her animals. Her menagerie includes six horses and a large flock of Marans chickens. In whatever spare time she has, she raises Pembroke Welsh Corgis and shows them in American Kennel Club conformation events. She also raises miniature donkeys and rides reining horses in competitions.

Jeffrey PelletierJeffrey Pelletier

Veterinary Technician Jeffrey Pelletier has worked at Main Street Veterinary Hospital since 2004. Working at the hospital allows him to work with and help the animals he loves. Jeffrey, a mountain biking and running enthusiast, enjoys aquatic gardening, aquascaping and keeping tropical fish. He shares his home with Pogo, a terrier mix, and Patoot, a rat.

Jessica FrantzJessica Frantz

Jessica Frantz, Veterinary Technician, has been working with animals since 2004. She joined the staff at Main Street in March 2010. She appreciates the dedication of the doctors and staff along with the advanced diagnostic technology.

Jessica's pets include an 11-year-old Rottweiler named Dakota, a 10-month-old Mastiff/Lab mix puppy, and two cats named Macy and Hayden. When she is not at the hospital, Jessica spends time with her husband, family and friends. She enjoys dancing, shopping, football games, and visiting the lake or the beach. Jessica participates in volunteer programs and is a youth mentor.

Tami CarrTami Carr

Tami Carr, a Client Service Representative, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and has been working in the field of animal care since 1998. She joined Main Street Animal Hospital in April of 2010. She enjoys working with the knowledgeable doctors and staff along with the clients and their pets.

Tami's family includes five dogs and three cats. She has two Chihuahuas named Poncho and Captain Jack, a Dachshund named Riddick, a Border Collie mix named Morgan, and a Red Heeler named Loki. Her cats are Jake, Jasmine and Casey. When not caring for all the animals, she likes reading, movies, and rollerblading.

Nicole ToribioNicole Toribio

Nicole Toribio is the animal bather at Main Street Veterinary Hospital. She has been making the pets clean and beautiful here since August, 1995. Nicole loves working with the animals. "When animals come in dirty," she says, "my mission is to make them look amazing and make sure their owners are happy."

Nicole spends her free time with her family and loves playing sports with her son. She also enjoys hiking, volleyball and gardening.
