At Main Street Veterinary Hospital, we understand that your pet is a member of your family. You and your pet deserve superior care and excellent service. Our veterinarians and pet care team are committed to taking the best possible care of you and your pet. Our hospital is clean, modern and comfortable, and we are always happy to take you on a hospital tour so you can see our facilities and equipment. Our goal is to team with you to give your pet the happiest, healthiest life possible.
When you come into our hospital for an appointment, you will be warmly greeted by one of our Client Service Representatives. She will check your pet in, and may ask you to complete a little paperwork so we can be sure we have the most up-to-date contact information for you. We ask that you bring any medical records you have for your pet when you come for your first visit to help us better customize a care plan based on your pet’s specific needs. One of our veterinary technicians will ask you questions about your pet’s health and will weigh your pet, escort you to an examination room, and obtain your pet’s vital signs. Once our veterinarian has examined your pet, you will be provided with a treatment plan and estimate of fees. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions of our veterinarians or team members- we are here to help.
Because pets age so much more quickly than humans do, we recommend a physical examination at least every six months. Older pets or pets with medical problems may need to be seen more frequently. A physical exam can point out abnormalities or changes that may indicate a disease or condition. The sooner a problem is found, the more successfully it can be treated. Animals instinctively hide pain, and even animals that appear to be in good health could have problems that may affect the length or quality or your pet’s life.
