Dr. Geneva Kernaghan - Veterinarian
Dr. Geneva Kernaghan received her bachelor's degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 2015.
She grew up in Fort Worth, TX wanting to be a Zookeeper. After deciding to pursue a career in the veterinary field, she attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in May 2019 and joined Main Street Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian in July 2019. During her clinical year, she completed externships at various exotic animal hospitals and in Tanzania.
Her professional interests include exotic animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and shelter medicine. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is honoring the human-animal bond no matter the species.
She and her husband care for three rescue labs (Walle, Oliver, and Mozzie), two bunnies (Mac and Lenny), and a Leopard Gecko (Midna). She is very excited to be a part of the Main Street Veterinary Hospital team and looks forward to caring for your loved pets and helping them to have a happy, healthy, long life!
